What are you resisting?

As humans, we naturally avoid discomfort.

It makes sense because our survival instinct intends to "protect" us—but it can also hold us back.

The things we resista tough conversation, a new idea, changing a bad habit, etc—are the things we need to pull closer.

Fear:

- of being wrong (because we're conditioned to view mistakes as failures instead of chances to grow).

- of being right (because success brings drastic changes and overwhelming expectations).

friend, this makes sense too.

You're human—feeling "hesitant or anxious" about what you don't know is natural.

But the goal with fear is not to focus on avoiding or getting rid of it.

The goal is to focus on moving forward despite it.

By facing the unknown and no longer resisting it.

Once you confront it, you'll knock out those 2 birds with 1 stone.

You'll face:

1) the fear of being wrong—and will see mistakes as learning opportunities.

and

2) the fear of being right—pushing you to welcome the growth and challenges that come with success.

You'll get your answers and inevitably release your fears.

An easy way to understand your resistance is to ask yourself:

Am I more afraid of failing or succeeding in what I'm currently avoiding?

For example: working out.

Is it the fear of not being able to complete a workout? Or the fear of reaching your fitness goals and having to maintain them—so you don't go back to square 1?

or

Here's another one: your big idea.

Are you hesitant to share it because you fear rejection or criticism (failure)? Or do you fear it's so great that it'll lead to drastic changes or expectations you don't think you're ready for (success)?

Once you answer that, you'll be closer to overcoming it.

That's how you stop pushing your potential under the rug.

It's time to live intentionally, friend.

This week and onwards—let's stop resisting.

You got this.
